earlier this year, jordan and jarron decided they wanted to be phineas and ferb for halloween. i’ve always dressed the kids in coordinating costumes, so i thought it would be perfect for jamison to be perry.

believe it or not, i made the perry costume. in fact, this is the first year that the kids aren’t wearing prepackaged halloween costumes. jordan’s (phineas) shirt was an orange/white shirt i picked up last summer. jon woke up early sunday morning to dye it yellow and re-launder it. i searched high and low for navy cargo preschooler shorts and finally found one on ebay. jarron’s (ferb) shirt is a light yellow uniform polo, and the pants are (girls’ ) purple cords that i cut and cuffed. their converse sneakers, i think, are the best real-world equivalent of phineas’ and ferb’s shoes. i “spray-painted” their hair p&f’s trademark red-orange and green.

i’m already thinking about what they’re going to be next year…

i am an annual passholder for both disneyland AND walt disney world.

(now there just needs to be a pass that gets you in to all the disney parks in the WORLD, lol.)

tomorrow is my LAST day of maternity leave. i can’t believe how FAST the time just came and went. i’m not ready to go back to work yet!

the first time we took jamison to disneyland, it was already too late/dark to get a decent family picture, but we were able to get one today. (too bad that whoever took the photo cut off the top of the castle!)

i’ll spare you the details of her birth. long story short, i wasn’t expecting her for another couple of weeks… but here she is!

our old “dining room” is starting to look like a craft room. i designed a room using the ikea software and came up with this:

the bookcase is “billy” , the desks in the center of the room are “galant“, the desk against the window is “vika” (i think?), and the storage cabinets are “effektiv“. i plan to use the top of the single-unit-height cabinets as counters and put my crafting “appliances” on top. today, we went to ikea and picked up half of the furniture and started building. the bookcase is up, as well as two of the cabinets. i can’t wait to move all my stuff down there!
